Metering Support Engineer
(National Capital Reg)

Responsibilities:

• Line Manager for nominated metering specialist.
• Provide technical engineering support to offshore and/or onsite Operations and Maintenance Departments for all metering matters.
• Provide scheduling of metering system for providing maintenance and breakdown maintenance.
• Provide and operate a schedule for providing maintenance for satellite metering stations.
• Organize Annual Prover Calibration.
• Produce work orders and instructions using SAP or similar for metering system related work.
• Responsible for the re-certification of metering system test equipment and the organization of the overhaul and re-certification of field equipment that requires to be overhauled or re-certificate onshore.
• Liase with third party auditors on fiscal metering system matters. This includes accompanying the auditors during their offshore visits, answering queries, reviewing reports and addressing action items raised.
• Organize the mobilization and demobilization of offshore metering personnel, auditors and other third party metering related personnel.
• Technical support to Client and Integrated Service Provider project groups, on metering or metering system related equipment and issues.
• Calculation and compilation or mismeasurement reports for metering errors.

Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s/College Degree or Post Graduate Diploma / Master’s Degree in Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication), Engineering (Electrical/Electronic), Engineering (Petroleum/Oil/Gas) or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years oil and gas metering and allocation related experience.
• Proven record of maintenance and commissioning of all types of measurement principals.
• Knowledge of Liquid and Gas Metering.
• A proven knowledge of the Hydrocarbon Industry.
• Understanding of the flow process in relation to problem solving.
• Experience working with different contracts/assets.
• Experience with associated software packages, setup and maintenance.
• Provide written reports to accepted technical standard.
• Ability to clearly communicate with client/senior management.
• Ability to assess and determine work in any situation worldwide.
